This library was designed by Julio M. Merino Vidal during the Google Summer of Code 2006 program under the supervision of Jeff Garland.

The latest snapshot of Boost.Process Julio M. Merino Vidal had worked on was checked into the sandbox in 2007.

In 2008 the library was picked up by Boris Schaeling to tidy up the code, fix various bugs, add minor improvements and update the documentation.
